glad to see that your making some headway into the project, I'm sure there are more than enough "practically new" parts in there to justify the price... such as the MSD DIS-2 and Greddy Emanage (if they weren't damaged during wiring )
I do wish you the best of luck with this project, let me know if there is anything you need.

hey thanks Chris, still might need your help with the MSD though.
ya the parts installed is still worth the buy, here's how I see it...
•Tial 38mm wastegate (needed a new diaphragm, $20 on ebay) worth over $200
•Greddy e-Manage unit, about $380
•Greddy e-Manage CD w/cable $140
•MSD DIS-4 $250-$600
•S13 header (needs modifying but a good base to start with) $100
•ARP main and head studs, 2000 series rod bolts $345+shipping
•Redtop crank somewhere around $300 shipped
•Redtop flat flywheel and clutch kit $???
•fresh block $???
•machine work to the block $???
•JE 8.8:1 pistons $600-$700
•welded EGR port $??
•stainless valves $???
•decent turbo to start with $???
•stainless brake hoses $???
...I'm sure there is more to the list but you can see that even with the issues the components make the buy well worth it.

Day 3
...so Day 1 saw the arrival and a small tear down, Day 2 was spent mostly making some orders
here is the Day 3 progress...
got some of the parts ordered from day 3
new 12" slim fan, I'll likely be running two 12" fans or one 12" and one 14"
new water to air intercooler
new radiator for the WTAI
new fan for the cooler radiator and Bosch water pump
the BOV that was on the car was a greddy RS replica, I fallowed suit with a little better quality greddy type s replica. I'll likely reciculate back to the intake like a VW.

day 3 continued
There had to be an oil pressure build-up in the head that blow the cover gasket and valve seals.
check out the amount of oil sitting over the # 3 and 4 plugs.
this is why I think there is a valve seal leak on #4
here is the water-to-air intercooler mocked up. I'll have to do something else with the coil pack and EGR to make room for the cooler.
I pulled the oil pan to check everything out. there was a small amount of aluminum in the pan. I'll likely pull the main caps to check the bearings and to have the caps shaved to install a main support.
now for the header...
it's kinda hard to see in the pics but the T3 flange was cracked about 80% of the way around.

well I can't say for sure but I'm pretty posative the radiator is from another car. there is a tranny cooler in the radiator, also the brackets are not correct either.
the radiator that's in her fits rilly well height wise so it might be fair to say the radiator's going to be the same height as OE.
this radiator core specs out at about 15"or16"x 25", that's why I'm thinking about using two fans, one 12" and one 14"
the water to air intercooler replaces the front mount intercooler for a shorter run from the turbo to throttle. it uses a seperate radiator, pump and resivour to run cold water over the intercooler core.
