***Where can i find a hub for a lanos***

Post by lanosucf »

One of the lug nuts just spins in my daewoo. I need a front driver hub. Where can I order this? Will the front hub of 07-09 aveo work?

ive had the same problem. you can replace the hub or i can loan you my helicoil kit. the healicoil is way easier to do, and it works great

basicly what you do is
1. drill the hole out with a specific drill bit
2. tap threads into that hole (again specific threads)
3. put in threaded incert.

its a 5 min job. versus removing the entire strut assembly. having the hub and wheel bearing pressed out. and putting in a new hub and wheel bearing (the bearing will get destroyed when the hub is pressed out)

these are a very good fix. ive seen people use them to fix stripped out head bolt holes. they are approved for use in aircraft landing gear. its not a half assed fix, its the real deal

heres a vid of instalation.

like i said ill loan you the helicoil kit. if you have a parking space, that you can jack your car up and remove a tire, a drill and at very least an adjust able wrench you can do the helicoil.
