Lacetti engine

Hi guys i`m new on here and to Daewoo, i got a 54 plate Lacetti 1.6 and it has blowen a hole in its block, now i`ve been told a 16xe will fit but not what year can anyone please help me, with either a block or some info.

Pretty much any 1.6L Vauxhall engine will work if you swap over the parts ( sensors, wiring ), I would go for one that is a couple years old from an Astra G or Astra H

The X16XEL should do the trick, I would imagine it uses a Bosch engine management system in the Astra where as your Daewoo will probably have a Delphi or AC Delco.

Hopefully that gets you started.

Thanks m8 i was told this but then when i looked into it i was told the vaux lumps changed with the years so have been getting no where fast.
I am only after the bottom block as mine has a big hole in it.

Ok I found a x plate Lanos in 2 scrapy by me 1.6 now the block looks the same but mine has the crank senser on the front just under the oil filter and the lanos dont would this be a problem or dont it matter as long as the wiring go's to a crank senser?

Well i went through all the trouble of taking it out and it dont fit the engine mounts are all different
