MLS gasket not sealing properly?

Last year while tuning the turbo i'm pretty sure i blew the stock headgasket (thick white smoke coming from exhaust)

Anyway, i installed an mls gasket with a set of arp studs and i did a compression test.

Cylinder 1: 180 psi
Cylinder 2: 60 psi
Cylinder 3: 45ish psi
Cylinder 4: 180 psi

Could it be that the gasket isnt sealing properly due to the surfaces not being 100% smooth? The head was not resurfaced, i just cleaned the block and head real quick and slapped it back together.

I'm going to call a local engine rebuild shop this week to see how much for resurfacing the head, and i will clean the surface of the block better.

I really hope it's just a sealing problem and not some blown piston rings or something, don't really wanna swap the entire engine...

Oooopsie!!, .....Something wrong there!!

Are the hoses really blown hard?
Seen chargers with seal damage with similar "Exit Smoke" too.

Looks like head gasket is rooted, and I think, for peace of mind, I'd take the top off, and have a look.

Gotta check the surfaces are flat and clean.

The video he posted is from last year before the motor was taken apart. He took off the head and cleaned everything and reinstalled with new MLS gasket. Middle 2 cylinders (2 and 3) have the low compression while the other two are normal. Are you 100% sure about the timing belt alignment?

I took the belt off like 20 times to get the teeth to align properly lol, so yeah its aligned correctly

unfortunately I' pretty sure it's going to be a head or deck surface issue. It might be worth your time to replace the piston rings too for some cheap insurance.

the upside though, since the engine hasn't been througha heat cycle you can reuse the head gasket, per Cometics technision.
