Need Help ASAP Valve Question
I need to know what all i need to do to change the valves in my 2001 daewoo nubira 2.0 dohc..I did a compression test and got nothing in the 1st and 2nd cylinders and the needle didnt even move so I gotta tear it all down but I need to know what all goes into it like how to do it and what all I will need to replace them such as the seals and keepers....Thanks

did you have a timing belt failure?
first things first, try to get a service manual (either buy or find to download)
have a read of that, if you think you can manage and have the skills, then follow the instructions
if you don't think you can do it, take it to a pro

had the t-belt replaced about 2 years ago roller went out about 6 months ago and just now getting the money to get the valves redone...replaced both rollers t-belt accesory belt tensioner and now im left at the valves...so im just trying to look at what all is involved and if i take it to a shop how much its gonna cost me to get it done...i'll try to find a service manual to download and take a look at it

it's a pretty big job
take the head off... take out the camshafts... see if the pistons are still ok... do all the valves/springs/collets etc... redo head gasket and head bolts

yea found a fsm...might just go ahead and get a new head or take it to a shop...wich ever one is cheaper...thanks for the advice...once i get everything done i'll post up and let you know....thanks again

cheapest option would probably to buy a recond. head with everythin intact and then just have to do the HG and bolts...
