What's the biggest size rims you guys have fitted ? my brain says racing-look 15s because they're cheaper and obviously lighter, etc, etc.. but my dick keeps saying nice 17s (maybe black chrome ROH Fury's ?) because my car's already slow..
feedback ?

re: rim size
17" are the biggest you can fit... but... I put 17's on my 99 Lanos Hatchback and it rubbed so much that I just made one trip around the block and returned to the shop and got 16's. I have Enkei RS-6 with kumho 205/45/16 and it sets and ride real nice.
Jason from the yahoo groups runs 17's on his and it looks tight as hell. He has the best looking Lanos I've ever seen. I don't think his rub at all.
Hope this helps.

That's right. 17's are the biggest you can fit. THEORETICALLY you could fit 18s...but I can't think of any manufacturer that makes 18s that narrow in width or low in profile (something like 205/30-18). The stock tyres (185/60-14) has an overall diameter of 22.7468 inches. The closest 17 to that is a 205/40-17. That's available. When you're working out the size tyre that can fit your car without having it rub the fender. etc....use the following formula..
( (TYRE WIDTH in mm) * (0.0394) * (PROFILE) ) / 50
(ABOVE TOTAL) + (RIM SIZE) = OVERALL DIAMETER OF WHEEL
Follow this and you should be able to mix and match. Good luck.
