Hi,
My Lanos 2001 SOHC has a hole in the rear exhuast muffler. Is there any simple way to patch that hole ? The exhuast gases are escaping from the exhuast pipe and the muffler.
One of my friends told me that this will also affect the fuel consumption. Is that true ?
Thanks in advance for advice

you can use epoxy to plug the hole or weld it... the problem is after some time another hole will develop as the exhaust box is all corroded from the inside and this will be a temporary fix till you replace the box.
i don't see why should a hole in the exhaust box cause more fuel consumption... i don't see any relation here.
