Can't pass emissions! ECM Not Communicating!!!!

I just bought my first Daewoo, 99 Lanos about a month ago... I love it!
Infact in the short time I have had it this amazing Daewoo community has saved me a lot of trouble, especially with installing my car stereo!
Getting my AMP kit through the Firewall and putting 6.5" speakers in the front door panel : )

The issue begins with that time came to register the car and take my Emissions test.
I took my car to the first service center I could find that would do emissions. It would not communicate with there equipment.
I was then instructed to take my car to a Suzuki dealer to have it checked considering the relationship between Daewoo and Suzuki.
They determined that my Onboard Computer is working just fine, but the ECM will NOT communicate with there equipment and that I am going to have to take my car to a Daewoo service center to have it checked and prossibly replaced.

So here in lies my problem. The nearest place that services Daewoo is over 2 hours from my location and closes before I get off work.
Does ANYONE have ANY ideas on what is going on or am I stuck trying to find a way to take a day off and lose even more money by having to replace the ECM at the service center...

There are ECU's for the Lanos under $100 located in Utah

Alternatively.... see if someone from here will sell you an ECU.... put a post in the wanted section.
